Membrane structures on tanks became more popular over the last 10 – 20 years. Design calculation can only be carried out by using very advanced FEM computer programs which can calculate both non-linear elastic and geometric non-linear. The load such like non-symmetric wind and snow loads as well as internal gas pressure is important to take into account on a serious way.
